Growing strawberries, next step?

Question:Ok, I already had people tell me that I could grow them from the seeds on their skin but can someone explain if there are any tricks to make it more successful? Do I dry them in the sun (or in partial sun) for a few days or just use fresh? Any preferred soil, moisture levels, etc. to give them the best chance? I just want to try it since I have 6-8 berries that have gone bad...

Thanks

Answers:
Same answer for the next step. Give these a read and try it out. Your biggest issue may be a sterile fruit if you bought them in the produce deprtment...

most people just buy them already started that way it is easier ! then check with you local nursery for growing conditions and soil type.
