Any-one else have problems with rabbits eating all my plants?

Question:as much as i love to see the baby rabbits, i love my plants more! I know that sounds un kind, but has anyone any ideas how to get rid off them? Not by killing them thank-you.

Answers:
try putting hot pepper on the plants or getting a rabbit-proof fence.

Drop some moth balls on the ground around your plants. The rabbits will avoid them like the plague.

Be careful using them around small children, though.
There are a few ways to tame the wild bunnies. A fence works best (that's what I use). You can elevate your garden because rabbits can only reach about 18" up without jumping or climbing which they will not do.

Another way is to plant more stuff in your garden so you can share your crops with nature (rabbits).

Either way, rest assured, when your plants get tall enough you'll be on your way to a good harvest.
I'm afraid that the only permanent solution is to shoot the myxomatosis riddled buggers!
I have no problem with rabbits eating your plants. If they were my plants I'd protect them with some type of fencing or move them higher to make them non reachable for rabbits. I tried the 'smell' stuff but the rains around here neutralise them.
get a dog
If you can get it ferret poo sprinkled round the garden stops them
I had problems with bugs bunny munching on my blue lake bush beans until my wife read an article in "Woman's World" magazine. They suggested to sprinkle baby powder on the leaves of the plants. I would never had believed it but it works like a charm. The only thing is that you have to do this after watering or after it rains. It is environmentally safe and best of all it is very inexpensive. Plain jane Baby powder. Give it a try the most it will cost ya is about a buck.
I have heard you can plant marigolds at the edge of your garden it will keep rabbits away.
1) sprinkle lime powder on them, it tastes horrible.
2) mix tobacco powder, naptha flakes (moth balls) and dried powdered blood (a fertilizer) together. The blood makes them think a top line predator has made a kill and is around. They scoot. The moth balls were covered in a previous answer. And the tobacco... well, the nicotine is toxic and also serves to kill of any bugs in the area. Nicotine is what they used to use before commercial pesticides were invented.
There is a product we are trialling where I work called Grazers if I remember correctly off-hand. It is not a chemical as such, but a formulation of calcium I think. Look on-line.
Failing that, or as well as, we use chicken wire cut to a height that will be unobtrusive, and the cut end is usually enough to act as a deterrent. Make a circle big enough to go round the plant and intertwine the two ends together, but you must use 2 or 3 "pegs" to make sure it stays fast in the ground. We recycle green wire fencing, cut & bent. Time consuming, and rips your flesh off if you are not careful, but works for us!
Good luck; you have my sympathy!
