How do you take care of luck bamboo plant?

Question:

Answers:
bamboo is essentially a weed in terms of heartiness. If you give it regular water and a modicum of sunlight it will be happy. With an occasional hit of some water soluble fertilizer it will be VERY happy.. If the plant sits in water on rocks as many do, keep the water at below the stalk level or it will not be able to breath enough. Also, if you do fertilize it make the solution a little weaker than the manufacturers recommendation so it does not get burned.. The dirt that is normally around the roots helps to provide a little protection from that in the dirt bound plant.

All you have to do is keep it in a sunny spot and add water once in a while. I like to add enough water to see it above the rocks when it's tipped, but not when it's just sitting there (so it won't get or look scummy). I've had mine for over a year now and it's going strong.
Make sure there is always water in the container, or if in soil, that the soil is wet. Also keep it out of direct sunlight as this will burn the leaves (the edges will become yellow). Every so often augment the water with a fertilizer ~ I use liquid house plant food that goes directly in the water that you use to water the plants.

Mine has been going for about 3 years now, and that's all I did.
