Can you grow hot banana peppers and jalapeno in the same small garden.?

Question:

Answers:
No, peppers cross-pollinate and you will get a fruit that looks like it should but does not taste like the intended fruit.

We do...well I think ours are usually mild bananas. Sometimes the banana peppers get a little hot but it's just fine. Last year we had some hot bananas but it worked out just fine.

Just like planting 2 flowers in the same garden.
Yes. The only problem you have would be if you save seed from the plants to grow again next year - they might cross-pollinate, and the plants that grew from those seeds might be weird. But they have no effect on each other's fruit this year.
I plant multiple types of peppers in the same garden. My hot peppers are always hot and sweet are always sweet. I doubt that pollination will change fruit. It changes no other fruit. Peaches cross pollinate as do grapes etc. etc. and the fruit is still true to the tree. So does corn. If cross pollination changed the character of fruit then sweet corn could not be grown anywhere near field corn or popcorn but it can.

At this time I have jalapenos, cayannes, various chilis, and pimentoe peppers all in the same row.
