Trouble with my butterfly bush, i think its dead?
Question:i cut it back last fall and now its memorial day and its still just a stick?

just leave them go and keep a watch at the very bottom and you will see leaves. i thought mine was dead last year it took a while and then the leaves came
I cut my 2 butterfly bushes to about 2 feet above ground every year. They come back even fuller. This spring I decided I didn't like where they were (too big for the area) so I dug them up and replanted them elsewhere. I thought maybe I killed them, but they have lots of leaves now. If yours doesn't have leaves yet I would give it more time. Maybe it is just a late variety.
