Help with my Marguerite daisy.?

Question:I have a Marguerite in a pot outside which has had lots of flowers. I dead-head almost every day as so many flowers lose their petals and /or die. I pick off about 40 a day and I thought I was watering well. I never seem to have much luck with them!

Answers:
You should add feeding about once a fortnight when they are flowering and check that the soil they are in is not too dense. Usually these flower like mad without too much attention, so don't over water it only a little each evening (1 cup) & dont water when in direct sunlight as this can burn the plant.
Good luck.

my fingers are not green, but i had 1 and planted it in the front garden and it went mad and turned into a hedge! It's about the only plant i haven't killed.
As perennials mature, they may form a dense root mass that eventually leads to a less vigorous plant. It is advisable to occasionally thin out a stand of such perennials. By dividing the root system, you can make new plants to plant in another area of the garden or give away. Also root pruning will stimulate new growth and rejuvenate the plant. Most perennials may be successfully divided in either spring or fall... http://www.backyardgardener.com/plantnam...

Hope that helps!
You need to divide and re pot your plant. Replace as much of the potting soil as possible. Don't reuse any of the old soil except what is attached to the roots.

Don't over water. Check with your finger down below the surface before watering.

When you do water, use a diluted solution of miracle grow.

Good luck!
