Olives, seedless?

Question:olives have seeds, right? if so, how do they get that red thing in there? and how do they get the seed out without tearing the olive?

Answers:
the red thing is a pimento and they stuff it in. I'm no expert my guess is they grow seedless just like grapes.

A machine cuts into the olive removing the tear shaped pit, then inserts a folded slice of pimento.
