My Loquat Tree is sick. Help.?

Question:I have a Loquat Tree in my back yard that I bought about a year ago. Since I've had it it has grown tall and the trunk has thickened considerably. Every time it grows new leaves they end up shrivling up and dying. I've been applying pesticides to it and that hasn't helped. A nusery superintendent told me that it has a diease and to apply a fungicide that is taken in by the roots. I've been doing that and nothing is working. I need help to get this tree looking good again.

Diseases
Numerous fungal pathogens attack loquat. The major disease in Florida is called fire blight (Erwinia amylovora), it kills branches and trees in the U.S. Treatment of fire blight includes removal (pruning) and disposal of affected branches and application of fungicides. Excessive nitrogen application increase the susceptibility of loquat trees to fire blight. Many other minor diseases have been reported to attack, loquat including Pythophthora (crown rot), Psuedomonas eriobtoryae (cankers), scab, Diplodia natalensis (collar and root rot), and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (anthracnose)... http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/MG050

...Fire blight can be controlled somewhat by the use of preventive fungicides or bactericides and by removal of the the scorched-looking branches, cutting well into live wood. The prunings should be burned or or sealed in a plastic bag before disposal... http://www.crfg.org/pubs/ff/loquat.html...

Loquat has few natural pests. The most serious problem is that of fire blight, the same disease which affects pear and pyracantha. While antibiotic treatment for fire blight is effective, probably the simplest course of action is to prune out the affected branches and destroy them.

Tipburn of the leaves frequently appears during a hot, dry summer as a consequence of soil and water salinity. Tipburn is not particularly deleterious to the tree and there is nothing you can do about it anyway... http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/citru...

Good luck!

Mayby you put to much pesticide around it .I would suggest that you get some plant food .Sometimes they get mad at us if they dont get enough sunlight and my rose bush is doing the same thing I litterally had to move the darn thing it was so mad at me. And they like to be planted on high ground so that any water we put on it will roll off. They dont like to sit low. So get some mulch and build it up
maybe you need to know the optimum light, humidity requirement of the plant.too humid may hurt the plant or check the soil requirement of that plant.
