Why do runner beans always grow anti clockwise up the canes?

They follow the direction the sun moves - so in the northern hemi-sphere they go anti-clockwise but in the southern hemi-sphere they go clockwise.
I don't know what they do on the equator - it's propably to hot to grow runner beans there any way

they grow towards the sun, and it moves round the sky during the day
So they can keep meeting up with the honeysuckle which grows clockwise.
OK its genetic, they will always climb this way.There is a special word for it which keeps coming up in the Telegraph General Knowledge crossword, but my grey matter is not working well enough to recall it at present.
Do they? Mine just seem to grow anyhow. Two of them were growing up a nearby rose bush before I detered them.
