When to put coffee grounds on my plants?

Question:I have been saving my coffee grounds and now have a 3 lb can full. Problem is, the landscapers came and put mulch around everything.
Is it too late to use the coffee grounds?
If not - what is the best way to apply them?

Answers:
you can throw them right on top of the mulch, if you dont mind the look of it for a few days. after the first rain, or you watering it, the coffee grounds will work their way through the mulch and into the soil. its not the ideal way to apply them, but its just as effective.

I think it would mess up the mulch. Put it in the composter if you have one. Otherwise wait. If you let them dry out they should keep until next year, or you can dump them in the soil in the fall. I have used them on inside houseplants as well.
still throw a pit of the coffee grounds... once it rains the acidsof the coffee grounds should release and seep into the
soil.
