Where shouldI put a variegated tre; In a pot or directlly in the ground?

Question:Where should I locate it; in full sun, partial shade, or in the shade? What kind of soil is better for it? Potting soil, regular dirt, or what?

Answers:
Give more info, I can help you.

I don't think anyone can answer that one unless you put down exactly what type of plant it is. Just because its varigated doesn't tell you anything. I've never heard of a varigated tree?
