try placing the little wind mill things in your yard..You should be able to find them at Wal-Mart.Many dollar stores carry them. They cause a little vibration that will keep the moles away.
Look around, there are electrically charged stakes that are placed in the grougnd to give off a sonic vibration to keep them away.
Some people put moth balls down their trenches.
Others, station pin wheels around the yard.
cats

The best long term solution is to get rid of their food source. I use milky spores to kill the Japanese beetle larva.
After I used them, my incidents with moles went way down, of course they still go after worms. I noticed my neighbor has a lot more mole tunnels than I do and he hasn't used the milky spores. The spores can be purchased from Home Depot or Lowes.
those pesky little rodents The only way to rid yourself of moles is to kill what they eat grubs get rid of the grubs and there gone Doug
I read somewhere that you can kill them by putting gum balls down the hole. Something about the gum killing them. It sure would be inexpensive. Good luck!
There's a product called Motomco, which is suppose to mimic a mole natural food supply. It looks and feels like a yellow gummy worm. The directions say to put one in their run via a dowel rod or something similar. We've found 1/2 of one does the trick. We've tried everything else.
I'm on the board of a girls softball complex and last year we found this product called the Rodanator. It uses a shot of a mixture of propane and oxygen along with a spark to get rid of them and collapse their tunnels.
mole plants
I have heard that they don't like mint gum. As silly as it sounds, it's not an expensive try. Stick a piece of unwrapped minty gum down their hole, and then tamp in down. Or you could use the nazi approach- like my mom. Lie in wait and kill 'em. No offense but that's what I call it. My mom's German. LOL, her and the moles. Never ending battle for the yard and garden.
