How often should I fertilize my lawn?

Question:

Answers:
Depends on how good of a yard you want and where you live. This website gives some good info.

Every 5 to 6 weeks. Use time release fertilizer. (pellets)
if you fertilize every 5 to 6 weeks you will never stop cutting the grass ! maybe 3 times per year at the most, early spring with a pre emergent, mid summer, and late fall with a winterizer.
if you have any questions about what you should put down and when ask at lowes or wherever you are going to purchase your yard and garden supplies.
I live in Woodway, Texas. I fertilize once a year. I aerate my
lawn about 6 times a year, plus put down liquid iron. Buy the iron in 2 1/2 gallon jugs at a golf course chemical supply shop. very cheap there, here about $30.00. My lawn is greener and thicker than anybody on the block and they won't listen to me. they all have sprinkler systems and fertilize 4-6 times a year. My way is also cheaper. Of course i bought a aerator and do other yards for 1.5 cents a square yard.
hope this helps, I also am all organic....gary
Depends on the condition of your soil. Have a soil test done to see what nutrients the soil your lawn is growing on needs.
