How do you get rid of lubber grasshoppers?

Question:We live in Florida and there are tons of lubber grasshoppers destroying our plants. Are there any natural predators? Is there any safe insecticides?

Answers:
My Grandmother moved to Florida (I believe back when I was much younger the US Gov, mandated that once you turn 65 yo, you must move to either Florida or Arizona) and whenever I was down to see her and my Grandfather, she'd always be gardening. She would add two ounces of vinegar to one gallon of water. She said that the vinegar keeps away the grasshoppers "quite nicely". BTW she not only poured it into the soil but sprayed it on the plants and flowers.

EAT THEM
The most effective, and environmentally safe, method is known as "pick & stomp."
