Is thier anyone in the ducklington area that has a rotorvater they could loan for a couple of hours?

Question:I have a big garden and would like to put some of it down to a vege patch for my son and I.I am disabled and not capable of digging it by hand my 13yr old son has tried but it is hard work. Thanks for looking.

Answers:
if your son is physically able to do so why not encourage him to dig it himself, i was digging gardens such as this when I was a year or two younger than he is now. 40 years later i am still digging gardens up here in scotland

if i knew where ducklington was, i would travel down and dig it for you both

try a hire shop dont think it will cost a lot then you can get them leeks growing

Your son could do it, unless your garden is an acre or more. A little water, then dig an area, a little water, then dig an area. I am 57 and right now am digging out 6 inches of dirt (and removing by buckets in a car trunk) in an area 35 feet by 5 feet (to put down cobblestones.)
I'm afraid i'm not from Ducklington so you'll have to go to a garden centre where you are and get one. The ground must be really hard to dig by hand. Get that rotorvater going but you'll have some preparation to do before you cultivate.
