All that said , longest, most free-flowering would be Impatiens, varieties of Dicentra exima , and most Corydalis . Does it have to be flowers? If you include colorful foliage , there are a lot more options . Suggest looking at Heronswood Nursery, and Plant Delights' catalogs for ideas and info.

ps:
"camelia sasanqua japonicas (the Japanese ones) because they handle really cold winters "

Which ? C. sasanqua, or C. japonica ? They are two separate species ( Houseplants here , so not sure on what's hardier) Or are you talking about interspecies hybrid of the two ? (If they exist would be written " C.japonica X C. sasanqua")

Annual or Perennial? What zone are you in?
Astilbe is a beautiful "fluffy flower" plant. It has red-green leaves and comes in pink, white and bright red. Lilies and irises are pretty too and come in a rainbow of colors...blooms don't last too long though. Impatients and vinca are pretty and vibrant ...they are smaller though and require more of them to make an impact.
Petunias. They're very hardy.
petunias
dianthis
begonias
portulaca
Gerber daisies
Shasta daisies
inpatients
bleeding heart
carnations
pansies- but they need cool area

good luck!
mini roses
I have camelias in the shade at my house - they are a stunning deep rosy pink - they flower like crazy just before winter - which is nice because not much else flowers then - they are so gorgeous - if you live in a snow prone area make sure you get the camelia sasanqua japonicas (the Japanese ones) because they handle really cold winters and also hot summers.
Wow they are so beautiful.
Impatiens, Green Leaf Begonias, Coleus, and Torenia. Your local garden center should have a good supply of all of those flowers. They are all annuals.
DG, Mikeinpo gave you the best and most detailed answer so far. Your best bet for summer shade from an annual flower? Impatiens. They love the shade.
