How can I improve my lawn?

Question:As a first time new homeowner I ordered a lawn, expecting to get a nice one but they put down a coarse ugly fescue. Is there a way to plant an invasive more attrctive grass that will take over, an other method of improvement, or do I have to tear up the whole lawn and start over?

u got fescue for sod? what kind of lawn were u looking for? We had a probably a thinner blade fescue in r front yard it was really nice & airy but the only trouble was that if u stepped on it, it took 4ever to spring back up. Plus it was easy to pull the clumps of the blades out.

Unfortunately, I would b calling the ppl. back that put in & tell them u'r NOT happy w/ the grass & u want something done or take it out. B/c u'll have to start anew...
