As "Uvbeenframed" suggested, it is most likely a fungus called "Powdery Mildew" that you're seeing on your tomato plant. Warm, humid weather favors development of the disease. The fungal spores are usually carried by the wind..
There are a couple of products that can control powdery mildew once it's established;
1) "Safer's Garden Fungicide" contains sulfur and is used to control powdery mildew. You should not apply this product when temperatures exceed 90 degrees or else it could damage your tomatoes.
2) "Serenade" is a biological fungicide that contains a bacteria which helps control a variety of fungal pathogens found on vegetables. It is very safe to humans and plants and only attacks certain species of detrimental fungi. "Serenade" should be applied every 7 days to control and prevent further infestations.
3) IF you prefer a more organic approach. try mixing one part milk with 9 parts of water and spray the entire plant. Surprisingly, milk has been shown to control this disease since it contains a natural germicide.
To prevent further problems.. by spraying "Get-Set For Tomatoes" which contains calcium that controls Blossom-End-Rot...it also helps strengthen the cell walls in leaves which then makes it difficult for the disease to establish itself on the leaves.
All of the products I mentioned (except the milk) can be found at most hardware/garden shops.
Hope this information helps eliminate your problem. GOOD LUCK!

I would remove the affected tomatoes and spray all the bushes with a vegetable-safe fungicide.
It sounds like powdery mildew. There is a spray for this...you can find it at a nursery or home depot etc.
Don't water at evening/night . It may not have enough time to dry out completely
a fungus that need to be removed take you hand and removed what you can easy without hurting the plant then hope that the sun stay out
