What is the name of my plant?


Question:I have two type of this plant, I mean it has same branches but different type flowers. Both smell horrible :(. Hairy one attracts fly. You can find images of both types, below. Thanks.

Carrion flower(Stapelia gigantea) The flies are attracted because that is how this plant is pollinated. That is why it stinks; because it must attract the fly for pollination. It is not a cactus though it looks like one. Other names are Zulu giant, hairy starfish flower, star cactus and starfish cactus (even though it is not actually a cactus)

Carrion Flower
They are both Asclepiads
They attract flies as pollinators because the odour imitates rotting flesh. Not a good choice for a house plant. Best to buy yourself something else.
