What is an affordable type of sprinkler that doesn't have to be installed?

Question:We just moved into a house with no sprinklers only a spigot on the house side of the house and we are required to water our lawn. We can't install any sprinklers until we've been there over a year which means until then we have to have ones that we can put away when we're done with them. Right now we can't spend a lot of money but we do want a good one that will water well but not over water. Possible even one with a timer on it would be great. Thanks!

Answers:
Every lawn I ever installed that did not have in-ground sprinklers, got Nelson Rainpulse impact sprinklers on a poly spike. Cheap (under $5.00), efficient, even the worst water pressure makes them move, throws up to 85.' Model 1100. Spending MORE for Brass heads gives you less performance unless you have "firehose" pressure.

Actually, I did have firehose pressure for them once, and I ran 12 simultaneously! It was cool.

Here's a Link to their website.

If I remember, I think they sell those sprinkler head units that screw on to the end of a garden hose. You turn the water on and it sprinkles the water about.
