How large is one yard of bark?

Question:how large is a yard of dirt

Answers:
A cubic yard is 3' x 3' x 3'. Your coverage area will depend on how thick your layer of dirt or bark is. A 3" layer will cover 108 sq. ft. A 4" layer will cover 81 sq. ft. A 6" layer will cover 54 sq. ft.

I built a bark mulch chart for a website I created. It will take you from 1 to 10 yds, up to 5" deep. Will work for "dirt" too.
