These Seeds Are Microscopic!?

Question:I bought some True Lavender & Jalapeno seeds to plant but the instructions don't say how many seeds to a hole. The lavender seeds are so small they look like powder! As u prob guessed I've never done this b4

Answers:
microscopic seeds that look like dust ... yup, I've planted some of those. I do not make holes for them. I make up a little seed pot and put the very finest potting soil on top... crunching up anything big into dust before I put the seeds on. Take a pinch of seeds and dust them onto the top, trying to get an even and thin sprinkling. Take a sprayer on the mist setting and mist the whole thing to settle the seeds. Don't cover them unless the package says to; if it does, cover them with more very fine dust-soil.

To water, use that mist sprayer again. Very fine mist, straight down onto the soil. Mist one or two times a day until you start seeing sprouts.

The Jalapeno seeds... plant about 1/4 inch deep and one to a hole, put two holes in each pot or section of a pot if you are using the six-packs... or make them about an inch or so apart if you are using a larger flat container. When the seeds sprout, remove the weaker one by clipping it off at the bottom with little scissors (if you have put two per pot) or transplant so they are one per small pot or six per six-pack. Peppers transplant very easily and don't mind it at all. Peppers like warmth to get sprouted and a nice bit of fertilizer to get going. Use a balanced fertilizer when they are seedlings, one with the numbers even (10-10-10 is good). When they are big enough to flower, use one with the middle number higher (5-10-5).

just plant them anyway. the dna are in the seeds, and they will grow. just water them every couple of days and remember to put them in light when they start to sprout so that photosynthesis can begin.
Everything will be fine.
Just sprinkle them over the area you want the lavender in-it grows close together. Cover seeds with 1/4 inch soil.
I've heard that if you mix your fine seeds with a little sand it makes them easier to scatter but I've never tried it.
