I have flies around my house every day! how should I rid of them?

Summer is the time when you need to fine tune your home against outdoor pests. The following things can be helpful.
1. Check all window and doors.
Flies are attracted by smell and can enter your home through small holes in the screens or gaps in the doors and windows.
Patching or replacing the mesh on your screens and applying weather stripping to gaps in window frames & doors can do wonders.

2. Scrubbing out all garbage containers inside & outside of the home and always using plastic liners helps to keep things clean. Often, the outdoor garbage cans are neglected and tend to become breeding grounds for many pests & vermin.
Regular cleaning will cut this down tremendously.
Also, keep an old spray bottle with a mix of 1 part bleach / 3 parts water. Spray out the container before you put in the new liner bag.

3. Fly paper strips are an "eco friendly" way to help control flies ... but make sure to pick an area where the strip is out of house traffic and away from curious pets.

Good luck & Good health!

Are you leaving food out on the counters and table? Make sure all food is covered. You could always put up screens.
fly strips, and spray
There are several effective sprays on the market that should help. Yard Guard is supposed to be good. Look for what the flies could be attracted to and try to get rid of the source. If any get in the house, they will go to a window if you turn off the lights. Then you can suck them up with a vaccuum cleaner.
i have flys buzzing around my crack... i let out a big sonic boom fart.. it makes them go away. flys are maggots in a second stage... there must be somthing dead around your house
they're just really bad,, its just that time of the year,, I spay the ones I can with something that can be washed off without making you sick like Windex,, or 409,, i wait till they are in the window or on the glass door,, works every time...
It is that time of year for them; I noticed they just started to bite my dog's ears the past day & am going to buy cream from tractor supply to put on them; I think the rain we had (after such a dry spell) brought them out here & also the neighbors have a llama farm. If inside, can easily swat them at night cause they stay on the ceiling; I know of someone who buys something they attach to a garden hose & spray around the yard for mosqitoes, etc. & works wonders for them; don't know what it is though-but a garden supply shop should carry something similar.
A Venus Fly Trap they are awesome!!!
Venus fly traps work wonders and so do Praying Mantids(mantis's in plural). I study and raise them, and baby flies(nats) are they're most nutritious meal so they will eat them all then leave when all the flies are gone.
First of all, don't leave any food lying around.
Use fly spray or those fly hangers that you can hang outside your house and they would stick on there.

Here's something I saw on TV:

1.Get a jar and fill it with syrup (about half way)

2.Put a plastic wrapping paper (clear translucent) on top to cover it up and tie it up with a rubber band/string.

3.Poke holes on top big enough so the flies can fall in there.

4.When they fall in there, they'll get stuck in there and can't get out.
I bought something similar to this at the farm store.
http://www.monsterflytrap.com/ I put one in my barn and it has made a big difference.

Put it far away from your house though as it attracts the flies because it stinks like old pee.
Fly strips (the ones that hang down from the ceiling) are a easy way to help limit them and it makes it easier to kill the remainder of them with a flyswatter. And make sure all rotted food is thrown out.
Find what is attracting them, were they are spawning. We had a trash can that needed cleaned out. When I hosed it out, (stop here if you don't want to be grossed out), it was full of maggots.
I would get some borax powder from any hardware store and sprinkle it liberally within the borders of rooms where you have seen the flies. Also, I would fill small bowls of vinegar and place them around the house. If one doesn't work, the other one will do you well. Remember this, If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.
flies have a eight way vision so every thing they look at they see x 8 hang a bag of water in clear plastic (like what you get fish in) level with the door and the flies will get confused and leave. sounds stupid but as it is hot in my country they try to come in to get out of the sun and that's what we do it works and you are not killing them.
