How do I stop my Campanula plants from having a flat area in the centre?

Question:

Answers:
When a perennial needs division, the center will die-out. If your campanula has been in for a few years and you have never divided the plant, then its telling you its time.

When you water, try to water to the side at the base of the plant instead of directly overhead. I own a garden center and learned the hard way! Too much water in the center of most plants causes the flat center you are talking about. When mine get that way, I also cut some of the center stalks back and feritlize to promote new growth - that usually takes 7 - 10 days. Good Luck!
