Question:Every night rabbit rabbits come and eat my flowers and vegetables. I LIKE them , so I don't want to remove them or harm them . I also don't want ugly chicken wire surrounding my beautiful garden. Is there a way to deter them from entering ? They have even begun snacking on my PEPPER PLANTS ! HELP !! - Thee Constant Gardener

WITHOUT fences, traps, poisons, or shooting, you are asking the impossible. You will spend a fortune in deterrents keeping the rabbits alive to multiply and come back ten-fold. Extermination is the only solution.
urine of fox. can be bought at lowes .if not then at any fine lanscape nursery
If you can get some carnivore scent you can create a virtual fence. You can also tie ribbons to stakes so the flutter in the wind. Anothe wind generated discourager to pests are noise makers similer to wind chimes but with more grating tones.
They make garden nets that you can put over your veggies that MIGHT keep them out, but your best bet has already been posted.. the urine of a carnivore, be it fox or whatever. I have rabbits, raccoons and possum who love all my stuff, so I gave in and let them have the back of the lot I own, and I garden the front part where the house is. AND I plant in containers as often as I can.. they can't reach my tender young plants that way. Hope something works for you.. I'm having about the same problem with squirrels! LOL
You might want to try planting merigold flowers. They work on certain pests I think rabbits are one of them.
I have heard that planting a thick border of marigolds around the garden keeps rabbits away. The rabbits will supposedly not pass through the marigolds. But you have to a thick border with no gaps. I have never tried this, but a friend of mine does it every year and swears by it.
they sell "wolf's urine" in a bottle at some hunting stores
just place the liquid near the plants and the rabbits will not go near territorial ground
Marigolds, dog hair, predator urine. All are said to work.
You can also try "liquid fence". It is supposed to be good for deer and rabbits. I use it to keep the deer out of my veggies and it really works (I haven't seen any rabbits around). I have a ton of deer lurking the neighborhood, but my vegetables are untouched - the deer don't go anywhere near my garden. I buy it at Ace Hardware.
