What types of Plant pots /container for a porch/balcony recommended?

Question:want to grow lawn type grass in containers that would grow about (?) 2-3ft tall.cant be too heavy and must be able to collect water so it doesnt drip downstairs Im hoping to fix some way to not buy a lot of costly decorative pots.Or is it cheaper to just buy some ready made plants in the pots? They all seem to be costly and I want about 10 total perhaps just for the greenery of it and air filtering.

Anything plastic !! this way is doesn't leave marks on your patio and it won't leak.
