Any One Else Ripped off by the Bayer Weed & Crabgrass Killer?

Question:I have used the Bayer advanced all in one weed killer for weeds and crabgrass. The one in the blue bottle from Lowes/Walmart that attaches to your hose. I used two bottles and it only covered about 1000 square feet TOTAL. It was supposed to cover 10,000 square feet which is what I am used to with the others. I was shocked when the first bottle ran out after only 500 square feet. Second bottle was the same. What a ripoff. I won't be using this stuff again. Anyone else had this experience?

Answers:
I hear you. A better product that actually does what it says it will is the weed killer that you attach to your hose from a company called Spectracide. I don't know the exact name of the stuff, but it comes in a grey bottle with a green lid (I think). It said it would cover 10,000sqf and it actually did and I had nearly 100% success at killing the weeds in my lawn. I bought it at Lowe's. After all, what the hell does Bayer know about lawn care. They should stick to asprin!

Nope I used http://www.scotts.com/index.cfm/event/pr...
But if what i used does not work then i know not to buy what you used. Thanks for the trial and error, Hope your weeds die soon, I know mine are stilll growing strong.
Call a local lawn company like Scott's or TruGreen ChemLawn and they will give you a free estimate on doing the weed killing for your lawn. I was so surprised. They charged me about the same as what I was spending on chemicals. My lawn looks very good
i work at a major retailer in the garden center, occassionally we have grass and weeds pop up in the cracks of the cement. we used round up tough brush and poison ivy killer and it takes about 2 weeks to work. then i used spectracide weed and grass killer concentrate in a black bottle w/green lid. Mike T is right, it really works. In less than 2 days the weeds were nearly dead
One thing that people over look when using herbicides is weed resistance to herbicides. What might work for some in one part of the country might not work in another. Take a look at www.weedscience.org and you can look at various data on what weeds are currently resistant. So then taking this into account for any weed control management you need to test out the herbicide in a small area to see the effects. This is one reason why there are so many different weed killers out there.
