Where can I find an apiarist in San Jose, CA to remove a beehive?
Question:I live in San Jose, CA, and I would like to find an apiarist to remove a beehive in my yard. please help. thanks.
Answers:
Most apiarists are in the yellow pages; of course, you can also check online for their listing. If you can't find one that way, check with your county extension agent to see if they know someone, or with any agricultural college in the area. Pest control companies might also know of a bee-keeper who can help you. With the problems that hives are having due to (apparently) disease, I imagine there are quite a few beekeepers who will be happy to have a new colony.
Good luck!
Carrier's Beekeeping Supplies should be able to recommend someone in your area. They can be reached by phone at (408) 296-6100 or e-mail fcarrier@carriersbees.com .
well the boys in my house.got rid of our bee hive by shooting it with hose ...then spraying it with brake cleaner and lighting it on fire..then they laughed and ran as they were all stung a bunch of times...ahh the male species just dont make the best roomates lol.look it up in the yellow pages
Look up Bee Keepers in the yellow pages or call a nursery or landscape company in your area. Try also a pest control service who may have an apiarist on retainer for just this sort of thing...
