Switch grass??

Question:how much water is needed for healty switch grass?

Answers:
Switch grass (Panicum virgatum) grows best in full sun & moist soils. It is tolerant of dry soils and will grow in partial shade. In dry soils the plant will spread slowly. It grows well in seacosts and tolerate windy sites and salt spray. Water enough to keep moist, not wet. Use your finger to test the soil moisture. When the top 2-3" of soil has dried out (but the soil below that is still moist), water.
