What is on my tree?

Question:http://flickr.com/photos/gutsgb24/sets/7...

Can anyone tell me what is on my tree?

Answers:
Hello

Those unfortunate eye sores are gall's. They are caused by soil dwelling bacteria's that infect the root sytem of the plant which excrete a liquid that is incorporated into the plant system and causes uncontrollable growth's to appear throughout the plant. Sort of like cancer in humans. It will eventually kill your plant because the plants energy goes to growing the galls instead of feeding the vital parts of the plant. You need to prune out as many of them as you can by cutting off the branches that have any signs of them. You must sterlize your pruners after every cut or you can spread the bacteria's juices to other area's of the plant and have the same problem next year. If you do not over the course of a few years the tree wil die. Goodluck

I sure wish I could help with that one but I've never seen this before. It looks like some sort of disease or virus is causing the leaves to blister. Are they part of the leaf or can they be removed?
Could be leaf gall or mites. Check the links.
Good luck, these things are unsightly but rarely kill the tree,
That other stuff looks like a fungus, the dark and red stuff...
I used to have some poplar tress that got those little blurbs I (be careful) used cygon.
It is a systemic killer and if you just be careful and don't get it on you or breath it you just pour the jar around the base (do not dilute or spray) and slowly water in and the junk will go away.
