Basil plant on my balcony-becoming alittle yellowish and brown spot here and there?

Question:I just bought it a couple weeks ago I placed a fertilizer stick in the pot and have watered it w filtered water and kept it from extreme temp-its mild climate-high 70's and low was mid50's now 60's these days at night-Its kept near the door so its not over exposed. It's "OK" but Im worried it may be going down

Answers:
You may be over fertilizing it with the stick in there. Try to take the stick out and just add a balanced fertilizer to your water once a week (maybe less if they look good and you planted them in a a good soil with a lot of organic matter. Also, make sure you are not OVER watering. Also make sure they have good drainage. You don't really say, but make sure they are in full sun. These are basic starting suggestions. There are other possibilities, such as fusarium wilt. Fusarium wilt is a soil-borne fungus that causes yellowing of foliage, discoloration of the stems, reduced height and eventual wilting of the entire plant. Since your basil is in a pot, if you didn't dig up soil from the garden that has had basil growing in it, fusarium wilt is unlikely. I hope this helps!

According to link below it might be a potassium deficiency
