I think you mean preservation order
are you saying that your a perv with a penis problem?
No - it doesn't need identification, it will be on record at the Council Offices.
Should you ever want to sell the house, the Solicitors will find the Preservation Order in their searches.
If you ever need to do anything to the tree, ask permission first - even just tidying it up/pruning. The penalties are quite severe.
We have two protected trees - one is in the middle of our driveway and we have to park cars on each side - we can't even prune roots which lift the drive without an inspector present.
TPOs ( Tree preservation orders ) are recorded at the council offices. No need to identify the tree on site.
Some people ignore then and just take the fine. My friend chopped one down because he wanted a swimming pool. Sure, he was fined £5,000 but he thought it was well worth it.
Personally, i think people who do that should be made to plant a big tree in the same spot. A £5K fine was nothing, at the end of the day it didn't protect the tree..
If it's 9 inches in circumference it needs planning permission. If it's your husband he needs a preservation order.
