What do i put my orchid in?

Question:i bought an orchid and it is in a plastic container full of bark chips. can i plant it in the dirt? what kind of soil do they like? i live in central florida so the dirt is sandy. what about sun and water?

Answers:
Dont put ut in regular dirt it will die, once a year after blooming put it in a new pot ( one that has some tipe of holes for drainage), and orchid bark mix found anywhere they sell plant.
soak ones a week in the morning. only mist it with water if it get hotter that 96F.feed it orchid food every month(feed it 1/4 tea spon for every gallon),food is also found in the same places as soil mix.
Good luck

Leave it in the pot or hang it in a tree. Orchids do not need dirt. Usually a mix containing charcoal or a type of moss is used. Most orchids don't want direct sunlight. Mist daily and soak once a week. Good luck
