New turf help!?

Question:I've just laid some new turf - all good except one section (2m sqr). Looks like it is dying, all matting togehter. Rest is doing ok. Watered the whole area regularly + has been raining this week. Can I have over watered? Could this be a bad roll of turf? Thanks..

Answers:
if all the rest is ok then two possibilities. It is a bad roll or there is something underneath it which is preventing it take root

poss bad turf, you cant over water it,did you rotivate soil and mix in sand so roots can nit in properly?
Could be many factors. Almost to many to ansew without visual. To ansew maybe a bad roll, then the question is why? Make sure the soil under the bad area is new or good soil. Then go from there. Yes, you can over water. If the roots only have to search for water on the surface then there may have problems growing downward.
Too much water can be a big problem. You are probably watering it fine...but the "rain" could be too much. If you know it's going to be rainy don't water much as far as the forecast will tell you. Is the "dying" area in a lower spot than the rest? That would cause extra moisture there. If so you might try adding some good soil/compost mix under that section to bring it to level.
try giving it a little bit of a feed...it does sound as though you have a bad bit there..or could be that the dirt underneath it wasnt raked to loosen the soil enough..if possible try not to stand on it for a while..if all else fails then try and get a new bit if you have the same problem then see if there is anything had underneath i.e concerete
