I need landscaping ideas for a hillside in front of my home. I have pulled up ivy and ready for a new look.?

Question:Does anyone have any detailed ideas, plant suggestions? I do want to use plants that will some back every season
( flowering, grasses, bushes, ect.).

Answers:
There is just too much to mention. You could build a terraced garden full of perennials and annuals. First, you need to determine if your hill side is full sun, partial sun or shaded. Then you can go to your local garden store and start picking and choosing. Most people choose perennials because they come back every year and then use annuals which have to be replaced every year as a filler. The plants you have to choose from are abundant. Oh, here, I know something that will help. Here is a flower encyclopedia. It should help to get you started. http://www.flowerpossibilities.com/encyc...

Here's a great article on Gardening on Hillsides complete with suggested plants/flowers:

This site has some good pictures of slopes with plants also:

You may even consider a rock garden with a few plants to highlight the rock area.
