How do you get rid of ground moles?

Question:How do you get rid of Moles in the yard? They are absolutely tearing my yard up. We have tried them posionous peanuts, and floating them out with water and mole traps. Nothing seems to work! Please Help!

Answers:
we had an orange tabby male cat who took care of it All other residents on the street had unsightly holes and piles of dirt-but us!

Use a pesticide that kills grubs. These are the main food source for moles. No food, no moles. Good luck.
Moth balls will deter them. Beware tho' as they smell horrid!
Get rid of the grubs, then the moles will leave. There is commercial grub killer at any lawn care store or like lowes, etc.

i went to this site for you and there are some things that may be able to help you.
In Louisiana we use these big pinwheel looking things. They are like the ones that kids get and blow on and it spins around. These are alot bigger and are on a stake. Stick those in the ground and when the wind blows, it sends a vibration through the ground that drives the moles away. They can't stand it. You can also try taking away their food source. Good Luck!!
