How do I get rid of unwanted cats?
Question:I just moved to a new neighborhood and my neighbor has 7 cats, and they use our entire property as their litter box. What can I do to keep them off of my yard??
Answers:
There is a product you can find at most Pet stores that you sprinkle around your yard and it will repel the cats. Here is a link that might help: http://wvcats.com/cat_repellents.htm...
The shake-away cat repellent sounds great. I think I'll try that one myself to keep my cats out of my children's play yard.
Good luck with the cats.
Just remember, In most states animal cruelty is a felony. I'm not saying you are cruel, just don't listen to the Yahoos who may suggest it.
Catapult?
I have a couple of ways you can do it but some of them aren't very nice. You can talk to the city and see if this is against the laws in the area. You can talk to the neighbor.) You can boil water and throw it at the cats when they are in your yard. Get a dog that doesn't like cats. Get a trap and trap all the cats and haul them away to the pound. Get a b b gun, water guns, or a paint ball gun.) Call a dog catcher. - I just hate having to pick up after other peoples messy animals.
call the humane society. they will come and take them. Or if you live in a bigger cit animal cops will pick them up. They will euthanize the ones that are unfit for adoption and adopt out the ones they can.
First I think you need to talk to the neighbors about it. And then, if that doesnt work, I would just turn them into the animal control place, well have them come out and take a look at it, because I was once fined for having my cat outside, and into someone else's yard... turn them in!
mix ground cayenne pepper and water in a sprayer bottle and spray the perimeter of your yard like crazy. you'll probably have to do this a few times, and if they come to see what you're doing you can give them a little squirt in the face. it's a cheap, easy, perfectly safe biologically sound cure, that way your neighbor can't complain!
I had the same problem. I bought a small box of moth balls and crushed them up and spread them around the yard. This works for a while and will need to be repeated when the cats start coming back but after a while they cats will learn to stay away
You can (humanely) trap them and animal control will pick them up. When the owner claims them they will be warned to keep them home or they will take them. It's like that here in Virginia
Cats go where they want to go and it sounds like your yard holds some intrigue for them. You may consider talking to your neighbors and let them know your displeasure. Consider lightly spraying them (the cats, not the neighbors) with the hose when they're in your yard and shooing them away. I'd let your neighbors know your intentions before doing so, though.
1.Bring a dog,will solve the problem.
2.Write a note to your neighbor mentioning, how much annoying are their cats, please keep them in control.
Cats are wanders, they like to explore new thngs and places. You could call animal control, but if you went to your neighbor and explained what is happening, perhaps they will take measuses to stop it, then again maybe not. You don't need to get on the wrong side of your neighbor as you are new to the area and they may make trouble for you, then you will be in serious trouble
Get a dog.
Check your city ordinance about stray's, some places give you a ticket to allow pet's of any kind to roam without a leash. If not get a dog, just keep it on a leash, a few days should work.
