It depends on where.

In Ca, it would definitely be palm trees. But, in our city there is also date, fig, elms, oaks, liquid amber, maple, pepper and also some eucalyptus.
BRADFORD PEAR TREES..

Many kinds of trees outline residential areas, around suburban areas the kinds that are typically planted are ash (various types, native to North America), elm (various kinds, native to North America), oak (black oak, pin oak, and and jack oak (sometimes called northern pin oak), all native to the northeast and Midwest regions of the US), in urban areas the two species you'll find are silver linden (an Asian linden), and London plane (a hybrid between the American sycamore (native to North America), and the Oriental sycamore (native to middle Eastern Asia)), due to their super-resistance to air pollution.
There are more streets named Elm than anything else. Got your answer?
