What kind of rocks should I put at the bottom of my stream?
Question:I'm going to build a waterfall/stream with goldfish and turtles. I wanted to put something shiny on the bottom like fool's gold, would that be safe? Is there something else that's looks like gold I could put in the bottom? Also, where would I get it?

Great minds think alike. I found glass flat marbles at the craft store in the floral arranging section that look like fools gold when placed in water among other rocks and pebbles. I got ones that were a little irregularly shaped. I also painted some regular rocks with a gold paint pen and they have been in the bottom of my courtyard fountain for 5 years where the birdies and doggies come for a drink.
