Is it okay to dry herbs in the sun?

Question:

Answers:
No. You would burn out all the natural flavors. Use a microwave, de-hydrator, or a shady window. Not sun. I use a de-hydrator. You could make bunches and hang them, upside down, in a window that gets little, if no, sun.

I don't see why not. People have been doing so for thousands of years.
