However this maybe Hard now where some have cut back their Vocation training programs.
The main one I am aware of F.F.A/4-H programs:
Some have students with the main interest of Orenimental Hortculture,Garden Technique, and Garden landscape Designs.
I first got my intereste in Ca. from my High School O.H. Classes then carry on with Ag. Mechanics/Ag. Science.
However approximately 7-10 years ago most of the Education Bugets cut Axed.. These vary programs help trained Teenage students with better Vocation Skills especially those that did not go to a Two- or- Four College.
So, as I have learned from being a part of a recruit Program for Youth in Nothern Ca. in May 2007.
The Youth can only participated in either C.C.C./
Ca. Conservtion or Core Program Low Wages but good Team Players Rolls. Then there is some High Schools that
Have special Ed/ Programs where some get other Vocational training for fields :

2) Plant Identification/ Plant Pathlogy Sciences:
3) Land Management:
4) Ecoenvirmental Science:
5) Arborist- Trees:
Then some Community College also have students with Landscape Construction & Irrigation Design,Installations:

I am a License Landscape Contractor in Northern Ca. one of the major Sub-contractor Firms I use is called Labor Finders:
This firm pre-screen all applicants, plus they pay any needed workers Comp Coverage maybe needed in event a worker may get injuried. So, you as a property owner does not need to use your Home owners Insurance.
So, Call first your Local high School District:

If you strike there then Check your local City Summer Jobs Core Program for Teens Work Wanted: Some Areas have these available for Youth and normally is Federal Subsidize to Help Youth get Jobs.;

You may need the Ag; Dept./ Enviromental Dept. on Call Instructor for Job Referal and Vocational Work Experance Coordinator:
