What is the right name for the poxe weed?

Question:

Answers:
Do you mean Poke weed??

It's Latin name is Phytolacca americana; it's a hardy perennial with unpleasant smelling leaves and roots that resemble Parsnips. The small white flowers are borne on long spikes and are followed by glossy, juicy black fruits with crimson juice which are quite toxic. In fact the whole plant is toxic but you can make a salad from the young shoots after they have been boiled a couple of times (one of the plant's other common names is Pokesalad). Grows all over USA and Europe, although it originated in south eastern USA.
