I weed whacked my yard and now I'm itchy?

Question:I just weed whacked for the first time a couple of hours ago. Now there are red itchy bumps all over my legs, arms, and chest. Even in places that my clothes were covering! From what I read it can't be poison ivy, oak or sumac (they supposedly take at least 8 hours to cause a reaction). What could it be? and what should I do?

Answers:
Probably some kind of allergy. After careful washing, try some Benadryl cream.

Maybe Chiggers
Put a cup or 2 of white vinegar in your bathwater.
Sounds like mosquito bites to me. I just came in from outside and I have mosquito bites all over my legs and am itching like crazy. Go take a shower, use lots of soap and rinse really well with as cool water as you can. That should stop the itching if it's mosquito bites. Next time wear some "OFF" while outside or some other insect repellent. It's not worth the itching and you're going to take a shower anyway when you go inside. Why not save the itching? Good luck!!
Its possible you had poison ivy or oak in your yard when you weed whacked I did that only on my hands and knees at my aunt's and never again. I was itching for 2 weeks straight.

Take a cold shower and scrub yourself real good if that doesn't work haul yourself to your doctor's right away.
