Pour some bleach on the grass. You'll need to pull up the dead grass afterwards, but you'll be good for about three months afterwards.
diesel or weed killer
sump oil always works for us, we just keep some in a small plastic jug and eery 2 weeks pour the oil in between the cracks of the pavers
Rid-X or something like that.
You can never really completely get rid of the grass, spray some weed killer and it should kill it for the time being. You will have to come back and do it again sometime.
OTHO GROUNDCLEAR. it will kill it in a week and last a year!
Roundup works well. If your pavers need to be resanded look into using polymeric sand. This sand turns hard when it gets wet for the first time and stops weeds from growing. Talk to a local paver installer about this sand it works great.
The ONLY safe and non polluting thing to do is to use Round-up weed killer. or to pull the grass by hand. Other methods are either unsafe or polluting.
I put table salt on mine. Its kills the grass growing up. Table salt will also kill ants that like to live in those cracks.
