What is good to plant on a hill?

Question:I live in North GA and have a large slope that sits in a lot of sun. I'm tired of the soil eroding when it rains. What's something that will spread quickly but I won't have to do a lot of work to? It would be quite difficult to mow this area, so grass is a no...

Answers:
Crown vetch. It spreads to form a dense growth that will keep the erosion from happening. It also has attractive flowers.

Good Luck and Happy Gardening from Cathy and Neal!

Crown vetch, it was developed by the Pa. highway dept. to stop erosion along the highways, The plants are cheap to buy and simple to grow. One word of caution, the plant is toxic to horses. The plant even has a little purple flower and is resistant to drought. Oh, one other thing, you can buy either seed or plants. Good luck!
Asian Jasmine is a great spreading evergreen ground cover that is considered a rapid grower. See if it is suited for your climate. It can be tamed with a weedeater if needed and can take quite a bit of foot traffic. Beautiful, easy and carefree! Good Luck!
Why not grow a few shrubs? Give it a bit of depth, grow some Camelias along with some low-growing junipers, or check here for a listing:

Have fun!
Georgia is full of kudzu. That's why they planted it along highways, to stop erosion. But think twice, kudzu takes over everything.
