Ever heard of pygmy peach tree? when do peaches ripen ? what to look for?

Question:I have an pygmy peach tree it is now bearing peaches ,they look almost ready to ripen; but i have no idea what to look for HELP!!!

Answers:
Yes , I had one, but unfortunately I can't remember eating any fruit. I would wait for them to ripen, and then they would disappear. My neighbors cat was eating them when he smelled them ripening. You wait as long as you can, and you'll feel them soften just a bit. Don't bruise them. The ones at the market are seldom left to ripen on the tree because they're hard to transport. So if you pick it a bit early, let it sit for a couple days; it will ripen. Try putting the fruit in a paper bag, and with any other ripening fruit in same bag. The gases given off hasten the ripening process.

Yes it is true, people almost never get peaches off a pygmy peach tree. They just dont usually produce enough except for the birds. Speaking of which, you could try some bird netting to help keep thing off of them till ripe.
