Need to know the brand to answer that for sure. Each type is different. Same thing for stringing it. Some to the right, some to the left, some double spooled, and some not...
We always use Echo's. For them, you push the spool down and twist it to the right.
Your best bet is to go to the store that you bought it from, and ask them for a demonstration.

Go online with the brandname of your weedeater. They have directions but usually there are arrows on the bottom to show you which way the bottom comes off. Did you no that the first weedeater was a empty can of bear glued to a dowel with fishing line glued on the can, run with a power drill. Good luck to you.
turn it over push in the button and twist the hole head counter clock wise the head should come off.if this don't work take it to a repair shop they should show you ,and i hope not charge you.
