What are the green grass bugs called?

Question:They kinda look like fleas and I think they jump, maybe fly. They make you itchy if you lay in the grass. They are the ones that go crazy when you step in the grass by them.

Answers:
These insects are called "Leafhoppers". They suck the juices from leaves and cause the tips of grass blades to become pale/yellow.

However, I don't think they're the reason why you get itchy when laying on the grass. Many of us are allergic to certain varieties of grass whenever we come in contact with them.
