How do i prevent magpies stealing food put out for the other birds?

Question:They cackle early in the morning and throughout the day when the cats appear. They disturb the blackbirds when they have chicks on the nest and kill the baby bluetits.

Answers:
all thngs need to survive,, if you really watch wild life,, its a battle of the wisest, and you know,,some birds breed twice a year, knowing that the chances of the first batch surviving could be low, but watch, the crows, the robins ,and all other birds ,as its not just the magpies even though they are noisey, and it seems that way,,
any how we had a sparrow hawk come i our garden and take out a mother sparrow,, so all the family is lost ,sadly thats what happens in wild life ,but you could always use a bird feeder, this way the bigger birds cant eat the food so the bluetits, robins and smaller birds can be fed and you can watch them,, and all should end up alright

don't put any out or leave a note askin them to leave it and be quiet
poison it
Get a pellet gun.
get a sling and practice your aim
it will be very hard to be selective of birds comming to your bird table. a mesh cage with the bird table inside may help.the mesh would have to be just large enough for blackbird size and less to pass through.I have a magpie come to my bird table and I feed it with grated cheese, it does not take seed or peanuts just the cheese.
