Have a plant garden, but the weeds grow faster than plants. what is the best weed killer and safest?

The safest thing is newspapers. I know it sounds crazy but it works, and I know this from experience. Just take newspapers and lay them around your plants. The papers will smother out your weeds plus help keep your soil moist, and the best part - it's biodegradable so won't have a problem there. I would suggest that you put mulch, or dirt on top to keep them down. I didn't the first time and after a windy night, found them all over my yard. After all the water and rain they will break down then just turn them into the soil for next years planting. Hope this helps and good luck with your garden!

Mulching will help keep weeds down. You can also pull by hand or use a hoe or other cultivation tool. Weed killers are generally poison and poison isn't safe. Recommend mechanical forms of weed removal, not poison.
Pull them out by hand one at a time. Or paint (with a paint brush) glyphosate on just the weeds. By painting the weed killer on just the weeds it will make sure that none of your desirable vegetation and plants will be harmed. Good Luck!
